Writing on the Wall
Every flat surface—no, come to think of it, even non-flat surfaces will do—in our small town seems to be inscribed with mobile phone numbers. The majority have a phone number and Chinese for "make documents" written beside it.
From what I understand, these are document counterfeiters, and they rarely even answer if you call, because they are always changing phone numbers. And when you do get through, it is pretty hard to convince them to meet up. Ironic that these are all near a police sign.
As an aside, I wonder how much this short term use of phone numbers affects China's massive number of mobile phone users?
